Look for Less: Fabulous Fur Accents

One of the hottest fashion trends for Fall 2011 has been faux fur. If you’ve fallen in love with this trend as much as I have, there is good news. Fur home accessories are making a wave in interior design this season! What better way to liven up your space than to add a luxe fur throw or a set of pillows? The fur throw in this bedroom really warms up the
space and adds a touch of glamour.

Whether you prefer real or faux fur, or if you’re looking to save or splurge, there are a wide variety of options for you to choose from. Target’s cream faux rabbit fur throw will give your bedroom or living room a gorgeous edge for less than $40! I actually just purchased this blanket for myself after noticing it in the store and seeing the unbelievable price. I will be using it in my living room on my white couch for subtle texture.

If you’re looking to spend a little more, Zgallerie offers a faux chinchilla throw that really looks like the real thing! Chinchilla is by far the softest of all the furs and will warm you up on those chilly fall nights.

West Elm’s faux fur throw (pictured on right) offers a more rugged look for those of you who are looking for a more natural looking throw.

If a throw blanket overwhelms you a little too much, a pillow may be just the accessory for you. The Grey Faux Fur Flokati toss pillow would make pretty additions to any girl’s bed.

West Elm offers my favorite fur pillows by far. Their Mongolian Lamb Pillow (pictured above) is beyond beautiful. Not only does it come in four sizes, but it also comes in gorgeous colors (including pastels)! Can you imagine a lavender fur pillow on all white bedding?

For those of you still on the fence, give one of these accessories a try along with some extra sparkle and metallic touches and you will have a 1920s-esque room in no time!
